This program prepares students for a nursing career in a variety of healthcare settings. Students learn to deliver nursing care to people of all ages using principles of the biological, physical and behavioral sciences, plus study how to assess nursing care needs of patients and how to make judgments in planning, implementing and evaluating appropriate nursing care.
This one-year practical nurse program admits a new cohort of students in the fall and the spring semester, each year. The program runs over a total of two consecutive semesters. The Nursing Program conducts a rigorous curriculum of lectures, labs and clinical experiences. Clinical experiences are conducted on site at a variety of healthcare settings weekdays and weekends during the daytime or evening.
