The Digital Art/Design A.A.S. offers a studio curriculum that scales from fundamentals to advanced production for print and digital media. Students master vector and raster graphics, image editing, photography, printmaking, color, composition, typography, and file export/packaging to specification using industry-standard tools, equipment and software. Coursework emphasizes visual communication, problem-solving, critique, and professional workflows. The degree culminates in portfolio development and a supervised internship, connecting classroom learning to workplace expectations. Graduates leave with a coherent portfolio, production-ready files, and the communication skills to explain design intent. Typical entry-level roles include graphic designer, production artist, digital designer, marketing/communications designer, junior UI designer, and prepress technician.
Stackable pathway: Students may complete the A.A.S. directly or progress through the two stackable certificates—Digital Art/Design Fundamentals and Digital Art/Design Professional—which apply in full to the degree.
